Walking into 2022!!

Happy New year!!

You know, I saw so many memes and tik toks leading up to this new year with "I don't know about you, but I already have the sweatpants I am wearing picked out for New Year's Eve," and I definitely think this was the year for the "low key" New Year ringing in. No, not because of "sickness" (well at least for people I tend to know and enjoy time with) but because I think so many of us were just feeling the vibe of cozy and low profile. We spent our New Year's Eve with good friends and 3 of 4 of our kids. (One decided to stay home because he had to work the next day). We enjoyed wonderful food and drinks, played Headbanz and Apples to Apples, and rang in the New Year laughing at the Ryan Seacrest "Rockin the New Year" with some interesting choices of outfits and masked New Yorkers in Planet Fitness top hats?
Anyway, my son had mentioned to me the day before, "remember in 2020, when we were all like ' Gee, I sure hope 2021 is nothing like this year!' And then we laughed and laughed...because...well....2021.
Even still, I have lots of anticipation and excitement as we walk over the threshold into 2022! Exercise and nutrition should not be complicated. If you are confused, frustrated, bitter or just plain exhausted, you are not serving your body correctly, in one or both of these areas.
